From Opportunity to Execution: Reflections on the First Six Weeks of Singletrack & Mediasterling

Six weeks post-merger, CEO Brijesh shares how the combined Singletrack and Mediasterling team is rapidly moving from opportunity to execution—breaking down silos and leading Capital Markets into the AI era.

It was 430pm. Our team had spent the best part of the last six hours of our all company offsite listening to me talk about what bringing Mediasterling and Singletrack together meant for our teams, products, services and market opportunity. And then we shifted gear. We listened to a senior leader from a mutual customer talk about what the merger meant to him. As he spoke, something in the room changed. The mood shifted. The penny dropped. This was not about merging two companies. We were, for the first time, merging the components of the advisory value creation cycle.

The common refrain on the announcement has been that the merger “makes perfect sense” – two customer-centred cultures, complementary offerings and great teams. But this has been quickly followed by a demand to move quickly and seize the opportunity to address the pressing needs of the AI era. And this has been precisely what our teams have been focused on.

In six short weeks, team members who barely knew one another have quickly honed in and started solving immediate problems for our customers. One thing I have heard from many people within the business has been that, prior to the merger, we were both trying to solve the same problems, just from a different perspective – each focused on “our respective side of the car”. Together, we are now seeing the full picture and potential.

Silos have quickly broken down. There are no Singletrack topics, or Mediasterling topics. Just a single, cohesive team focused on leading Capital Markets into the AI era.

The combined business now offers the broadest and deepest suite of client engagement products for advisory firms. As well as the broadest integrations and connectivity suite. We are at the centre of a broad, innovative ecosystem. A privilege and responsibility we take very seriously.

This position has created incredible opportunities for our product managers, engineers and delivery teams to address fragmented workflows, leverage AI as an orchestration layer to execute complex workflows and innovate new ways of delivering advisory services.

Six weeks in, one would expect the teams to be formulating a roadmap to realise the potential. However, the combination of a clear mission, forward thinking and engaged customers and a scalable platform has meant we have quickly moved from opportunity to execution. From AI-driven compliance approvals to a full service Portal, we have delivered a 6 month wish list in less than 6 weeks.

At its essence, bringing together Mediasterling and Singletrack has been about bringing together a set of people with a common philosophy on how value is created – through high quality offerings, high quality service and domain expertise, a common mission – to help lead advisory firms into the AI era – understanding the opportunity and leveraging technology to help deliver insights to help understand an increasingly complex world and support decision making, and a common sense of urgency and responsibility for the need to move quickly.

As I interact with our teams, our customers and our partners, there is an air of confidence – not born out of hubris or wielding market power, but that which is born of a clear mission, a clear plan and the trust in one another to execute.

We will make mistakes, plans will change as we learn new things and our team will evolve. But what has been abundantly obvious over the past six weeks is that the combined business of Singletrack and Mediasterling will be brave, innovative and energised as we support our customers and partners at this exciting inflection point for our business and our industry.

I have always said that Singletrack is my spiritual (professional) home. Something I hope is the case for my colleagues. Singletrack is a place where we enable our team members to be who they are, to flourish and grow, and to serve a common mission that is greater than our own individual needs. That’s never been more true than today, and never more needed than now.

The last six weeks have been a whirlwind. And we are only getting started.
