Social Media Executive (Part-time)

Who We Are

Singletrack provides a cloud-based SaaS solution to our customers – investment banks, independent research providers and investment institutions – to help them manage their client and provider relationships, distribute and consume financial research, gain insight into operational data and comply with market regulation. We are headquartered in London, with additional offices in New York and Newcastle upon Tyne (UK). Our customers are primarily in North America and Europe but also in Asia, Australia and Africa.

Founded in 2009, Singletrack has been steadily gaining market share in a sector dominated by large vendors. Today we are the main vendor in Europe and are experiencing significant and sustained growth in the US market.

 

Location

Singletrack shifted from being an ‘office first’ company to being fully remote just prior to the start of lockdown in March 2020. At present  we operate in a hybrid manner with a mixture of office and remote working and we anticipate a minimum attendance in the London office of twice per month to help maintain team cohesion, for specific client events and for social events, after an initial induction period where we would expect more office attendance. For this role, a successful applicant could be located anywhere in the United Kingdom as long as they are available to travel into the London office as outlined above.

 

The Singletrack Marketing Team

The Singletrack Marketing team manages all Singletrack’s marketing, communications, social media and lead generation work. We’re a small, highly motivated team and have automated many aspects of our work, using CRM, marketing automation, social media tools – but the time has come to add some more resources to the team in order to fully exploit the potential of social media for both brand awareness and for lead generation. We work closely with the sales team, reporting into the same overall team leader. 

 

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Social Media Exec to work part-time (16 hours per week) in the Marketing team. We seek an individual who is passionate about spreading the word about Singletrack and can demonstrate how they can drive awareness and help build our pipeline through accurate, smart social media programmes.

You will be a motivated self-starter with a proven ability to deliver successful social media programmes to financial industry professionals.

We are a busy team with plenty of work on the go, and as such we rely on each other to support the team effort by being proactive, cooperative and collaborative.

 

How You Fit In

We are seeking a motivated individual with interest in the finance sector and technology. 

The successful applicant will have a proven understanding of the Capital Markets industry and how Singletrack and their clients fit into it, and have a passion for translating this into distinct, engaging social media programmes.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Run a consistent, engaging social media programme for Singletrack, creating original content and surfacing appropriate content for us to comment on
  • Create thought leadership pieces (commentaries, infographics, short reports) from existing content or from scratch, working with Singletrack colleagues
  • Support our broader marketing initiatives with appropriate posts and activity on LinkedIn and Twitter 
  • Run our employee advocacy programme, acting as both evangelist and contributor
  • Work closely with the rest of the marketing team and support other team members as appropriate
  • To monitor and regularly report on our performance against agreed KPIs for awareness and lead generation through social media

 

Required Attributes/Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience of working in capital markets, with a sound understanding of sell side and buy side workflows, including institutional sales, client strategy, investment research, investor relations, and corporate finance
  • Proven experience of running B2B social media programmes, with specific interest in LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proactive, motivated, organised, disciplined 
  • Sound interest in and an aptitude for technology
  • ​​Ability to self-organise and self-motivate, especially if you will work in a remote environment
  • Demonstrated focus and determination in completing tasks
  • Ability to self-manage your schedules and workload within a collaborative team framework

 

Desired Attributes/Experience:

  • Experience of running social media advocacy
  • Experience of using a social media/advocacy platform (we use Oktopost)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com and Pardot
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage external and internal relationships
